Jack of all trades, Master of none. Jennifer’s career path has led to many different industries. Since her children reached school age and she decided to join the work force she has managed a call center, worked for one of the top 10 banking institutions, managed a lounge/casino, worked with city and state government agencies to maintain their potable water systems, & now hunts down specialized talent for the oil and gas industry as a recruiter with The Exeutive Group headquartered in Billings, Montana - the gateway to the Bakken oil patch.

Employers are not allowed to ask potential candidates  a variety of discriminatory questions.  Some of us may not know this, but here are some examples of questions that are taboo on an application, during an interview or in the workplace.

Here are few items that employers are NOT allow to ask a potential candidate.

1.  How old are you?

2.  Are you pregnant?

3.  Do you take drugs, smoke or drink?

4.  Are you a US citizen?

5.  Do you have any disabilities?

6.  Are you married?

7.  What religion do you practice?

8.  What is your race?

These questions, to many of us, are common sense, but people forget.  Not only are these questions poorly chosen, but they are illegal under federal, state and many local laws.  These types of questions can be used to discriminate against applicants and as a potential candidate it is in your right not to answer them.
